US President Joe Biden is due to make a speech on Tuesday that will urge unvaccinated Americans to be aware of the risks, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters in the White House on Monday.
“For those who choose to remain unvaccinated, he (Biden) will issue a stark warning and make clear: unvaccinated individuals will continue to drive hospitalisations and deaths.
That is not trying to scare people,” Psaki stated. “It is trying to make clear to people in the country what the risks are here of not being vaccinated,” she added. Replying to a Journalists question about a vaccine mandate, Psaki said there wasn’t an update but that, “I think we have said in the past that masking is something we know as effective and it works.
I would expect tomorrow you will hear more from the President on what we are going to do more about making vaccines and testing accessible.” Psaki also touched on NATO and the situation with Ukraine. She said that the US would not comment on the relationship between the organisation and a potential member state.
