Two dead following Haywood County flooding

A state of emergency is in effect in Haywood County, North Carolina, following large-scale flooding in the aftermath of depression Fred on Tuesday.

Around 35 people are missing while two people are reported dead.

The epicenter is Canton, where rescue workers were seen gathered and at work.

Destruction of residential property and vehicles in nearby communities was evident, while rescue workers were seen conducting search operations for survivors.
