Only a thin front wall of the town library remains standing in Greenville, California, after the Dixie fire almost completely levelled its downtown, as seen on Tuesday.
The blaze left several burned vehicles amid the rubble. Hundreds of blackened trees covered the surroundings.
As of Tuesday, the Dixie Fire had grown to 490,205 acres (200,000 hectares) and was 27 percent contained.
According to Cal Fire, the Dixie fire has torn down at least 893 structures, many of which were likely homes.
