Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity to take founder Sir Richard Branson to space

Virgin Galactic’s spacecraft VSS Unity is set to fly to space on Sunday, July 11, carrying its founder Sir Richard Branson accompanied by three company specialists and two pilots.

The spaceship is expected to reach the altitude of more than 80 kilometres – a boundary recognised as outer space by NASA. It will give the people on board a few minutes of weightlessness before beginning a descent back to Earth.

The trip will be Virgin Galactic’s fourth test space flight.
