K tourists were seen arriving at Palma de Mallorca airport without having to provide a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival on Monday.
In a move to revive a stricken tourist industry, the Spanish government has announced that any visitors from the UK could enter without any need to self-isolate before or upon arrival.
“I want people to come, but I think people should come safely, and I think people should have to show at least one clear test,” said one passenger on a flight coming from the UK but who lives in Spain.
“I think for the British people… I think it’s good, you know because we’ve just about all been vaccinated,” another British tourist commented.
At the moment, Spain is on the UK governments ‘amber list,’ which means anyone coming back needs to self-isolate for ten days and take two COVID-19 tests.
