Pit the panda, a resident at Berlin Zoo, underwent a CT scan under anasthaesia, as images released on Tuesday show, following a series of seizures last week.
A team of experts from the Freie Universitat Berlin’s Department of Veterinary Medicine gave the 18-month-old panda a full checkup, including the CT scan and and ultrasound. However, the cause for the symptoms has not yet been identified.
Pit initially received anti-seizure medication and remained under close observation by vets and zoo staff.
Since the episodes last Wednesday, Pit has been in good health and recovered well, showing no other alarming symptoms, according to zoo vetinarians.
