A winter storm warning was issued for Texas, as heavy snow blanketed the state, as seen in Dallas on Monday.
The snowy emergency led to power cuts for more than four million people, and at least two people were reported dead in the state, with officials citing subfreezing temperatures as a likely cause.
”This is not Texas weather right here, this is like off-state weather. So, a lot of people here they are not used to drive in these kinds of conditions, so you should not be outside, you should stay,” said Paul Reyna, a local.
Governor of Texas Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for all 254 counties on Friday.
