Heavy rainfalls caused floods in Calabria’s port city of Crotone on Saturday, damaging local infrastructure and businesses.
Emergency services were deployed in various parts of the city, removing debris carried by the flood waters, facilitating drainage of waters and evacuating submerged vehicles.
Local businesses owners were seen assessing the damage caused by the floods. “What happened is there was so much water that it broke my back window and passing from behind it broke also the front window.
They even told me that the wall dividing two shops fell down”, said the owner of a local shop.
