Alex Jones leads pro-Trump rally at Georgia’s capitol

Pro-Trump radio host Alex Jones rallied with a group of pro-US President Donald Trump protesters at Georgia’s State Capitol in Atlanta on Wednesday. The rally first took place outside the building before the group got inside to demand a special session over alleged voter fraud as the results of the recount of votes cast in the US presidential elections in the state are expected to be published on Thursday. Trump’s legal teams have launched a series of court cases in an attempt to overturn the results, though no viable evidence has yet been provided for the fraud claims with Trump yet to officially concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden. Jones, who has been banned from Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Spotify and other online services for spreading misinformation on a variety of isses, was fined $126,000 for saying the Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax, and has issued a formal apology for spreading the debunked theory that a DC pizzeria was running a human trafficking and child sex ring involving members of the Democratic party.
