Million lights illuminate Madrid’s Royal Botanical Gardens as Christmas season approaches

Giant light sculptures, including flowers, trees, and even a unicorn are part of the ‘Nature Lighted’ event, which kicked off in the Royal Botanical Garden in Madrid on Tuesday. The event is dedicated to the approaching Christmas season. A children’s choir was seen performing during the opening ceremony after which dozens of people enjoyed the light show and marveled at the impressive views. The route through this ‘garden of light’ is a little over a kilometre long and more than a million LED lights have been used to make up the spectacular tour, according to media reports. The capacity has been reduced by up to 60 percent to comply with the social distancing rules due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will be on until January 10, 2021. (ruptly.tv)
