A bridge too far? World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge to open in Portugal

The world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge is due to open to visitors in October. The bridge is located Arouca in Portugal, just south of Porto. Stunning drone footage filmed on Friday, reveals the bridge suspended between mountains, which also connects the Aguieiras Waterfall with the Paiva Gorge. The 516 Arouca bridge is not for the faint hearted thanks to its height of 175 metres (574 feet). The bridge offers panoramic views through it’s gridded floor above River Paiva and stretches for 516 metres (1,692 feet). It reportedly takes 10 minutes to cross the bridge. An official date of opening has not been confirmed yet. (Ruptly.tv)
